Hack Mob is our series of immersive hip-hop influenced design thinking labs created to develop underrepresented youth in tech as future innovators, breakthrough thinkers, and leaders. The mission is to make innovation culturally relevant to them.
In this design thinking lab, passionate people are introduced to our process of generating tech-enabled social impact concepts: identifying a user persona and their specific problem, understanding why that problem exists, and envisioning ``moonshot`` solutions for them. They walk away with a really cool idea ready to be passed onto to strategists and designers.
The best Idea Founders from Goodie Ideation present their ideas to an audience of volunteer web & graphic designers, marketers, and strategists. Then the fun begins. The attendees split into teams and work against the clock on for 48 hours on high-fidelity prototypes, branding and growth strategy.
With their tech prototypes designed, the founders move onto this hackathon where they'll present their progress to an audience of volunteer developers and designers in an effort to turn their prototypes into Minimum Viable Products. At the end, all teams pitch what they’ve built to a panel of industry experts for a chance to win some cool stuff.
