HELP PEOPLE AFFECTED BY GENTRIFICATION WITH TECH ENABLED PRODUCTS AND DIGITAL CAMPAIGNS

OUR GOAL

When we say that everyone has a role to play in connecting people affected by gentrification, we mean it. We’re committed to involving 2,000+ ideators, 250 hackathon participants, 100 mentors, 75 subject-matter experts, and 50 founders in Hack Gentrification.

OVERVIEW

In the Fall of 2016, we launched our first pre-accelerator cohort to connect people affected by gentrification to ways that make or save them money. With 400+ people attending the kickoff Challenge Insight Panel, we knew that we were onto something big. That cohort produced helped launched startups like Goodr, Civic Dinners, and Mini City, but many financial access challenges still exist.

Hack Gentrification aims to develop even more tech startups, open source software projects, and digital marketing campaigns through a series of design thinking labs, support groups, workshops, and hackathons. Whether you are a middle school student, high school student, college student, teacher, professional, advocate, activist, or entrepreneur, there’s a role for you. Sign up to contribute today!
