Announcing Goodie FC: Because You Have Friends Everywhere

This summer, the United States will host the biggest global soccer tournament the country has ever seen. Millions of fans will travel between cities like Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York, Dallas, Houston, and Miami to experience the excitement around the matches and the culture surrounding them.

At Goodie Nation, we believe moments like this are about more than sports, they’re about people, community, and connection.

That’s why we’re launching Goodie FC, our initiative designed to help visitors and locals discover the innovators, connectors, and communities that make each host city special.

Our theme for 2026 says it best:

We Have Friends Everywhere.

And with Goodie FC, we’re making sure people know exactly where to find them.

Why “Goodie FC”?

If you’ve ever followed soccer, you’ve likely seen the letters “FC” attached to a team’s name like Liverpool FC, FC Barcelona, or Atlanta United FC.

FC simply stands for “Football Club.”

Historically, football clubs weren’t franchises or brands. They were community organizations where members gathered to play, support each other, and build relationships around the game.

That idea of a club, a place where people belong, is exactly what Goodie Nation represents.

Even though Americans often call the sport soccer, using “FC” connects us to the global culture of the game. It signals that this is part of something bigger, something international.

Across the world you’ll see variations:

  • SC (Soccer Club) in the U.S.
  • CF (Club de Fútbol) in Spanish-speaking countries
  • AC (Associazione Calcio) in Italy

But the meaning is always the same: a community that comes together around a shared passion. For us, Goodie FC is a global club for innovators, connectors, and community builders.

It also gives us a way to talk about soccer culture while respecting trademark restrictions around official tournament branding. But the name matters for another reason too: it reflects the spirit of the Goodie Nation community.

No matter where you go, you’re never starting from zero because you already have friends there.

We Have Friends Everywhere

During the summer of soccer, millions of visitors will arrive in cities across the United States looking for things to do, people to meet, and experiences that go beyond the stadium. Goodie FC exists to answer a simple question:

“Who should I know in this city?”

If you’re in Atlanta, we want you to know you have friends there. If you’re in Los Angeles, you have friends there too. Same for New York, Dallas, Houston, Miami, and beyond.

Goodie FC helps visitors and locals alike discover the founders, storytellers, community leaders, and innovators who make each city special.

It’s about turning a big global event into something more personal a network of welcoming communities where people can connect, collaborate, and feel at home.

What Goodie FC Includes

Goodie FC brings this idea to life through several programs designed to help people discover the right communities and experiences in each city.

Welcoming Committee

At the center of Goodie FC is our Welcoming Committee. This is a curated collective of trusted local connectors, cultural leaders, founders, and community insiders who know the pulse of their cities.

Welcoming Committee members help visitors and locals navigate neighborhoods and gatherings, discover innovators worth meeting, find the best community experiences happening in the city, and make introductions that lead to meaningful relationships

In other words, when you arrive in a host city, you already have friends waiting to welcome you.

Goodie Nation House

The Goodie Nation House will serve as the physical hub for Goodie FC. Located in Atlanta, this dedicated gathering space will be operational on select days throughout the tournament period and will act as the central meeting place for our innovation community.

At the “house” you’ll find panels and conversations, casual spaces to connect with others, meetups for innovators, content creation and storytelling sessions, and more.

Think of it as the clubhouse for innovators during the summer of soccer.

Community Dinners

Some of the best conversations happen around a table.

We’ll organize a series of Community Dinners designed to bring together founders, investors, creators, and ecosystem builders in intimate settings. These dinners will take place the night before matches at select partner restaurants creating spaces for thoughtful conversation, meaningful introductions, and long-lasting relationships.

Private Fundraising Event

We’ll also host a Private Fundraising Event bringing together major supporters, partners, and community leaders. This exclusive gathering will feature a fireside conversation with influential voices working at the intersection of sports and innovation while helping support Goodie Nation’s mission to build stronger communities for innovators.

Spotlight Campaign

Another key component of Goodie FC is our Spotlight Campaign.

This multi-channel effort will highlight dope innovators from the Goodie Nation community that visitors and locals should know. Throughout the summer of soccer, we’ll introduce audiences to founders, creators, and ecosystem builders shaping the innovation communities of each host city.

Because if you’re coming to Atlanta, LA, or New York, we want to make sure you know exactly who to meet.

Curated Event Guide

Navigating a city during a major global event can be overwhelming. That’s why we’lll also produce a curated event guide designed specifically for people working in the innovation economy.

Instead of listing everything happening in a city, the guide will organize events based on visitor identity, including tracks for founders, catalysts, storytellers, connectors, queens of innovation, good men, and more. The goal is to help people quickly find the gatherings that matter most to them.

Turning a Global Event into Local Community

The summer of soccer will bring the world to American cities. Goodie FC ensures that when people arrive, they don’t just see stadiums and matches—they discover the people, innovators, and communities that make each city unique. It’s about making introductions. It’s about opening doors. And it’s about reminding people that wherever they go, they’re not alone. Because through Goodie Nation…

We have friends everywhere.
