Celebrating a Decade of Impact: Our 10 Year Anniversary Weekend Recap

One weekend ago was not just a celebration but a vivid reflection of the journey Goodie Nation has embarked upon over the last ten years. Our community, driven by a passion for social impact, empowerment, and innovation, came together to commemorate a milestone that marks a decade of dedication, growth, and transformative relationships.

Goodie Hack: Defining the Next Decade of Goodie Nation

The weekend began with our Goodie Nation Hackathon, all with the goal of defining the next decade of Goodie Nation. Diverse minds converged to address challenges critical to our community’s growth and the wider societal good!

Each team had the chance to work on the following challenges:
• Creating Value for ATL Non-Founders
• Supporting Atlanta Startups
• Atlanta Community Building
• Using Data To Predict Startup Startup Success

The event ended in 6 powerful presentations, offering a glimpse into potential projects and directions for Goodie Nation in the coming years. It was a testament to the power of collaboration and the bright future that lies ahead as we continue to foster a more inclusive and supportive ecosystem.

Goodie Nation 10 Year Anniversary Funder Dinner Powered by Justworks & Tito’s Handmade Vodka

The evening transitioned into the Goodie Funders Dinner, a time for reflection and gratitude. It was an opportunity to look back on the paths we’ve traveled, the obstacles we’ve overcome, and the powerful connections we’ve forged.

With toasts from Joey Womack and Justin Dawkins, the dinner underscored the significance of our collective efforts and the impact we’ve achieved. This evening of stories and gratitude not only honored our past but also set an optimistic tone for the future.

The Goodie Nation 10 Year Anniversary Affair: Party Well. Do Good. with Tito’s Handmade Vodka

The grand finale of our anniversary took place at The Gathering Spot ATL, a venue that truly reflects the essence of Goodie Nation. The evening included a fireside chat featuring Big Gipp from Goodie Mob, turning the night into a blend of celebration, connectivity, and forward-thinking.

Having Big Gipp share his insights was nothing short of inspirational, making the evening an unforgettable experience. He reminded us of Atlanta’s pivotal role in championing socio-economic justice and emphasized that the city stands as a beacon for today’s crucial movements, including the push for diversity, equity, and inclusion. His words served as a powerful call to action, urging us to lead the charge from Atlanta and continue our fight against prevailing injustices.

This weekend is just the beginning of a celebratory series that promises to spread the spirit and mission of Goodie Nation beyond our borders.

As we plan to take our message on the road, we’re inspired to amplify our impact and unite communities in our shared quest for a better future.
