Volume II was even bigger and better as we partnered with Venture Atlanta to host it inside the Venture Atlanta conference over two days at the beautiful Woodruff Arts Center in Midtown Atlanta. 

IMAGINE THAT: A NOD TO POSITIVE INNOVATION

Given everything happening in society currently, this year’s theme is inspired by Nas’ 1996 classic track If I Ruled The World (Imagine That).

“If I Ruled the World (Imagine That)” by Nas is a visionary anthem that imagines a utopian future where systemic injustices are abolished, and freedom and prosperity are universal. Nas raps about eradicating poverty, liberating those wrongfully incarcerated, and creating a world where Black communities can thrive without fear of oppression. The song reflects on the struggles faced by marginalized communities while offering a hopeful perspective on what could be achieved with justice, equality, and empowerment. Lauryn Hill’s soulful chorus reinforces the dream of a better world, making the song a powerful commentary on societal issues and a call for transformative change.
