Google for Startups partners with Goodie Nation for a third edition of the Latino Founders Fund.
Starting in 2022, Google for Startups extended its partnership with Goodie Nation to distribute $10 million in non-dilutive financial capital to 80+ of the most promising Latinx-led startups from across the U.S. through the Google for Startups Latino Founders Fund.
In addition to non-dilutive capital, recipients of the cash awards receive wrap-around support from both Goodie Nation and Google for Startups in the form of network connections, high-value content, Google Cloud credits, and marketing opportunities to help them advance their companies. These include accountability group sessions, warm introductions to corporate innovators and investors, as well as therapy, accountability partners, 1:1 connections to advisors based on their individual needs, and professional development sessions. Similarly, founders gain access to Google workshops on topics ranging from Sales and Marketing to Ads and People Operations. Both Goodie Nation and Google for Startups leverage our marketing channels to tell founders’ stories and provide a platform from which they can amplify their businesses. The recipients were selected from Google for Startups’ programs as well as through nominations by Google for Startups partners across the U.S and public applications.
Combining non-dilutive financial capital with social capital has the potential to change the trajectory of Latinx entrepreneurship in this country. This is what it means to be Intentionally Good. This is tech done right.
Latinx startup founders are far less likely to be connected to key influencers in tech: those from VC firms, top tech companies, top colleges/universities, etc. This leads to a lower likelihood of receiving venture capital, getting corporate customers, and top-level talent. All of this means higher less of stress for the founders.
