The ATL Corporate Tech For K-12 Tech Cohort gives Metro Atlanta's corporate tech community the opportunity to influence the future of tech.
Relationships are the catalysts of our lives. Yet where we grow up, the schools we attend from kindergarten through 12th grade, and the extracurricular programs we participate in act as future determinants of success in tech – particularly for traditionally under-estimated communities and sectors.
Launched with support from redefinED Atlanta, ATL Corporate Tech For K-12 Tech is a 9 month initiative to connect awesome employees of Metro Atlanta’s tech companies to opportunities to impact local K-12 tech education in the method of their choosing. It could be directly teaching/mentoring students, advising a program, sponsoring a nonprofit, or engaging with local education leadership. The opportunities are wide-ranging.
We recognize K-12 is a critical juncture, and we are deconstructing historic and systemic barriers to success by putting people and relationships at the center of tech. Relationships matter. This is how tech should be done.
Our team + community will help you focus on the type of specific impact you’d like to make on Metro Atlanta K-12 tech education and set quarterly priorities with goals to achieve.
We’ll connect you to programs and people needed to hit your impact goals. These include those running tech workforce programs, education leaders, and more.
You’ll meet with the other changemakers in your cohort every 4th Wednesday of the month to discuss what progress you made that month, your plan for the next month, and give/get help on making the best impact. These hour-long evening sessions are led by a member of our team, and are virtual unless otherwise noted.
All Sessions are Virtual Unless Noted.
