Relationships are the catalysts of our lives, yet where we grow up, the institutions we attend and the cities we choose as professionals act as future determinants of success in tech – particularly for traditionally under-estimated communities and sectors.
We recognize college is a critical juncture. Intentionally Good @Clark Atlanta University powered by Dell program focuses on the life stage directly preceding professional careers. It is a 60 day program where Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, and Spelman College students develop relationships with startup founders + Dell employees and receive advice on how to break into tech. Students will get put in a better position to receive tech internships by getting a 30,00 view of the fundamental skills needed for careers in software development, UI/UX design, product management, and digital marketing.
We’re closing racial equity gap in the technology sector and leveling the playing field for top Clark Atlanta, Morehouse, and Spelman students by deconstructing historic and systemic barriers to success and putting people + relationships at the center of tech with an amazing partner in Dell. Relationships matter. This is how tech should be done. Join us.
Mentor Huddles are where each student gets matched with tech startup founder and a Dell employee to help them with tech career pathway goal & milestone setting and career advice. Hosted a few times during the program, it’s how we start to begin deep relationships between students and key influencers.
Hear from experts in software development, UI/UX design, product management, and digital marketing and ask questions on how to break into these roles.
Innovation Day is where we bring it all day, and students present their progress and plan for the next semester to all of the mentors and Dell executives.
